Why use cleaning products with harmful chemicals when you can make your own natural cleaning products?
If you are at all interested in learning more about making your own natural cleaning products to clean your house and you have not already read this book, naturally clean house, by Karyn Siegel-Maier I recommend you do. This is just one of many great books out there that teach us how to make our natural cleaning products. In the first chapter illustrates some alarming statistics. Here are just some examples.
- "The Consumer Product Safety Commission has determined that more than 150 chemicals found in common household products are directly responsible for producing cancer, allergies, birth defects and numerous disorders psychological. "
- "In 1990, more than 4,000 children under four received emergency treatment for poisoning by consumption of a household cleaner. In the same year, nearly 18,000 pesticide-related incidents were reported in which 74 percent of the victims were under 14 years of age. "
Karyn also goes to great detail about the hidden dangers in each of the many cleaning products we use everyday. These are products such as our laundry detergents, furniture polish, air fresheners and toilet bowl cleaners, just to name a few. She shares with us many wonderful recipes for our own cleaning products not only save you money, but to keep their home, their families and ourselves safe, healthy and clean.
Once he had taken the decision to change my diet and try to live a healthier life, I began to do some research. Surprisingly, I found that the healthy life in those days there is easy and certainly not cheap. It's very discouraging when you pick up almost everything in the grocery store is loaded with preservatives and chemicals with names you can hardly pronounce. Then, once informed of cleaning off the island and take a deep breath and first notice a surprisingly strong chemical smell. That smell would be "camera gas out, "which is the term used for chemicals escaping through the plastic seal. try to keep my breath now when I walk around that island. Breathing in these toxic odors can be as dangerous as digestion or absorption of them. I just recently learned that in recent years asthma children has increased up to 400%. I wonder if this has anything to do with the air they are breathing.
I do not know about you, but I personally have known and lost also many friends and relatives in the last few years with cancer, and I'm always thinking the same question: Why cancer? I did not get to understand or have all the answers, but recent research shows that most consumer products containing chemicals directly related with cancer and other health problems are in fact puts us at risk, why not stop using these products?
We too used the convenience and low cost. If your life is at risk not only convenient, not to buy and consume what will always be cheap and convenient? lifestyle understand that not everything the world can hold, which all own cleaning and personal hygiene items, or cultivation of a garden so big. However, I encourage everyone to make at least be informed and read the labels. There are many natural and organic companies out there that have established a great reputation. Do a search online, find local farmers market, and who knows, you may actually enjoy growing their own food, or even make your own multi-purpose cleaner vinegar! As always I hope you make the choice straightforward.
